NitroStrike’s Mini-Foamer helps save the Hawkins Family House!

"The 23rd of February, a Wednesday, was not much different than any other Wednesday at the Hawkins Household except for the events that were about to unfold as Jane was preparing a Southern Tradition and family favorite, Fired Okra, for Dinner. Jane placed the Cooking Oil on the Stove top and lit the stove to heat the oil then went about preparing the balance of the family meal when she was suddenly called away from the kitchen by her son Elliott to assist him with an urgent plumbing issue!
Once the emergency was addressed, Jane returned to the kitchen. Imagine her surprise when she rounded the corner and saw that the grease had not only heated but was now flaming and was catching the cabinets above the stove on fire! Jane screamed and Elliott came running! Elliott remembered the NitroStrike Mini-Foamer that his Dad Dean had brought home several months earlier and immediately retrieved it from underneath the kitchen sink as the kitchen began to catch fire and fill with smoke! He smartly attacked the burning pot of oil first which was the source of the fire then sprayed the cabinets and walls to extinguish the flames! Mean-while Jane called the Cunningham Fire Department who then arrived quickly on-scene but not before Elliott had safely and effectively extinguished the fire!
The Fire Department arrived and the Fire-men were amazed at the limited amount of fire and smoke damage and the limited amount of clean-up that was required after such a dangerous fire. They asked, “How did you do this?” and Elliott showed them the NitroStrike Mini-Foamer that he had used to quickly extinguish the fire! Dean came by and visited with NitroStrike, Inc., the Anderson County/South Carolina manufacturer of the Mini-Foamer and other Compressed Air Foam Fire Suppres-sion Systems, to say, “…thanks for such a great safety product that helped save our home. Please let me know if I can ever do anything for you all.”
Events like this unfold everyday but not always with such fantastic results. 87% of all household fires begin in the kitchen and the Hawkins family had protection available to them which is NOT the case in every home! Elliott did a fantastic job of thinking quickly and acting smartly in addressing the threat. Thanks to Dean, Jane and Elliott for this fantastic success story and our prayers are with them as they deal with the aftermath of a Residential Fire."

“Assuring that I have a fire extinguisher in the event of a fire became
important to me when my dishwasher caught fire in my home more than thirty years
ago. It made a mess but it put out the fire and saved my home from any serious
damage.
When I saw “NitroStrike” on the local news (WYFF 4) I was immediately
interested in them because they appeared to work well. Plus, they didn’t make a
mess and they were handy in size. It turns out one of my regular customers works
for them and he had sold a NitroStrike extinguisher to one of my employees. So,
I bought several of them from him to share with my family and friends.
The other night high winds brought down a large limb that had been hanging
over a service power line that was attached to an old building close to my home.
The live wire touched off a grass fire in the woods and my neighbor called to
tell me. I remembered there were several NitroStrike extinguishers still in my
wife’s car so I went outside, got two of them from the car and took them to the
grass fire to put it out. The fire had grown a bit so it took both of them but
they worked just as advertised. The Power Company came about twenty minutes
later to disconnect the power and take away the live power cable still lying on
the ground.
My neighbors asked what I used to put out that fire and I showed them. They
wanted one for their home so I went back to my wife’s car and got them one.

“I recently purchased a Nitro StrikeTM Mini Foamer and placed it in my car.
My Father, an active 71 yr-old Retiree, was working outside his home recently on
one of his smaller enclosed trailers doing some welding and retired inside to
have lunch with my Mom. I arrived in his driveway recently to visit and saw both
he and my Mother running from the house towards what was now a BURNING Trailer!
Apparently, a spark from his welding had started a fire that wasn’t readily
visible when he went inside to have lunch.
I recalled that I had the Mini Foamer in the trunk of my car, so I got out and
retrieved the Mini Foamer and headed towards the trailer! I pulled the tab and
pointed at the base of the flame just as it says to do on the can and it worked
great! Even in a “semi-panic mode”, it was easy to use and quick! I can’t
imagine what it would have been like if I had to use a regular fire
extinguisher, those things mystify me and just look so complicated to use. I am
buying more Nitro StrikeTM Mini Foamers to replace mine in my car, put one in my
house where I do not have a fire extinguisher and to give some to my Dad!”

The Piercetown Fire Dept. has used the NitroStrike Foam system two times since
adding it to the dept. rescue truck. The first call was a single car MVA that
caught fire. We used water to extinguish the majority of the flames, but could
not put out the fire underneath the car because of leaking gas tank. The
NitroStrike product extinguished the gas fire quickly. The second call was a
Tractor Trailer Fire on Interstate 85. The rear trailer brakes had locked down
and cause the rear tire to catch fire. The NitroStrike product was applied and
removed the heat from the brakes, tire, and axel.
